Report: Chingford Athletic Reserve side came up against a team who won the Ilford and District football league division one last season. Enfield Elite Fc were always going to be a strong team which ever players they had available.

Chingford Athletic looked the more comfortable on the ball and off it. Enfield were creating chances but could not score, with Ulasan in fine form and the starting back four of Costis, Woolnough, McPherson and Goodbun keeping things solid. Ulasan went from hero to zero after a one on one in the box went wrong and the forward sent flying. The penalty was converted and Chingford were on the back foot. Chingford had to up the pace and keep the ball moving, they done this with ease and created chances which were both converted and missed. Chingford got a goal back and Enfield then ignited and showed us all why they were IDFL Div one champions last season. Again the back four and the keeper stayed strong. The Chingford midfield and wingers were working much better in the second half linking well with the two top men and chances were aplenty. The roll on roll off substitutions kept everyone fresh and on their toes allowing some great football to shine through. This opened up the game for the second half which seemed to have goals going in every 5 mins for Chingford but this left us open at the back, for Ulasan to then come out on top again. This would not last long as for every 3 goals Chingford scored, Enfield got 1 back from slack defending.

A high scoring game with a total of 12 goals flying in. The game ended 9-3 but could have been a lot more and does not give justice to the hard working Enfield. Goal of the game came from Clifton who was around 25yds out and smashed a swerving dipping shot which flew past the fully stretched Enfield keeper.
