January Round Up

Firstly we would like you wish all our players and fans and happy new year, it has not been a bad start to the yar for all the Chingford sides.

The 1st team had just 3 games this month as the Denny King Cup game Vs Buckhurst Hill was called off as they were unable to field a side so we now progress to the Quater finals of that cup. This month we weclomes Forest Utd to the lodge for an EHMC game which went right down to the last minute when forest seocrd in the bying seconds to pregress to the Semi Finals. In the league there was a draw and a victory but still it seemed like no pregres was made on the teams above us, but yet we still have 4 games in hand over some teams above.

The 2nd team had a good month loosing just 1 of their 4 games and taking 7 points over the month. The only defeat this month was against Stambridge Utd 5-2 who are the visitors to the Lodge this coming week. A late goal by player manager Jim Reeves was enough for the Reserves to take all 3 points against Leytonstone Utd as he scored in the dying seconds to take a 3-2. This was Reeves 4th goal of the month in what proved a rather good month for him.

In the Ilford & District league the A side began to find their feet somewhat and they only defeat they had this month was against Presmier division side London & Essex and by just the 1 goal. A great achievement to only loose by 1 goal to a side a division above us. In the league saw the biggest win of the season, beating Lansbury 5-2 with 2 more goals from Lee Doyle taking his monthly tally up to 5. This month also saw 2 new Chingford faces get on the score sheet for the first time for their team, this included 1 goal from Rob Grimble and 3 goals from lee Newport.

This Months top scored was A sides lee Doyle with 5 goals closely followed by reserve team player Jim Reeves.

Club's People Wanted

As we are now already half way through our first season with 3 full running team our thoughts now beign to look forward to next season. The Essex Olympian league has been a big test for us and takes up a lot more time and effort than the Ilford league use to so because of that the club is looking for the following people, either inside the club or someway related the club to help us progress further.

Website Manager - Keeping the website regularly updates and changed
Social Media person - Someone who takes details from the site and spreads them worldwide via the medium of social media
Results & Fixtures Secretary - This role relies on a responsible person to, on Mondays call and arrange the ahead Saturdays games and also fill out result cards to the related league or cup accordingly.

The club will also be looking for a sponsor for the coming season 2012/13 so if anyone know any companies willing to sponsor us please let us know.

All the above roles take some responsibility but would be remibursed for your time via the way of discounted subs for aplayer who takes on a role.

Any player wanting to or knowing anyone who would like to fill oneof the above roles so let Tom or Lee know between now and the end of the season.

Club Disipline

It has come to the attention of the club that a miniority of players have become unable to control themselves whilst playing the game and the club has been recieving far to many cards of late, due to this the club, as of now are imposing an addition fine of £5, on top of the card fine for anyone booked for any form of back chat or ill disipline the club feels is out of line. Cards for this are not needed and any continued form of ill disipline will see the player ejected from the club.

Club Monthly Meetings

From the first Wednesday in November the club will be having a monthly club meeting, this will take place from 730 to 830 before training and shall be used for all management to meet and discuss things about the club. Should any player want to attend and discuss anything with anyone or all of the management they are welcome to do so. Meetings will take place in the meeting room @ Wadham.
